CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6 composite materials have attracted attention for their high external quantum efficiency and potential applications in semiconductor optical cooling. We have found that suppression of reabsorption of spontaneous emission is critically important for realizing semiconductor optical cooling, and have demonstrated through computer simulations that thin-film crystals, which can suppress self-absorption while maintaining excitation light absorption, are structurally advantageous. In this study, we report on the growth of crystals on sapphire substrates and the evaluation of their structural and luminescent properties.
