We propose a single-ended photonic crystal fiber (PCF) interferometer sensor coated with molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) for the detection of 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) in waterbodies. At the lowest concentrations of 4-CP sample solutions, the proposed platform delivers a remarkable sensitivity of 0.7 ×10⁸ nm/M.
