π-junction qubits, which eliminate the need for external flux bias by introducing ferromagnetic π-junctions into highly anharmonic flux qubits, are promising candidates for large-scale integration owing to their potential to suppress inter-qubit crosstalk. In this study, we fabricated π-junction qubits based on self-shunted superconducting flux qubits (SSFQs) together with two-dimensional coplanar-waveguide readout resonators on the same chip and evaluated their characteristics.
