次世代半導体パッケージ用ガラス基板の高効率微細加工に向け，ベッセルビームを用いた過渡選択的レーザー加工法を開発した．電子励起領域への選択的光吸収により，厚さ1 mmのガラスに20 µsで直径3 µmの貫通孔を形成し，従来比100万倍の超高速加工を実現した．本講演では，材料依存性，パルス幅・エネルギ依存性，加工メカニズムに加え，加熱法を工夫した最近の研究成果も紹介する．
