[9p-N302-3]Materials science and photo-functionarities of strongly correlated electron systems
driven by ultrafast optical technology

〇Shinichiro Iwai1 (1.Tohoku Univ.)

Keywords:

strongly correlated electron system, ultrafast phenomena, photoinduced phase transition

Recent advances in ultrashort laser technology are beginning to reveal the inside of the light-matter interaction , which had been hidden within the electron-electron and/or electron-phonon scattering processes . The light-electron dynamics that unfold in a few femtoseconds have opened up new perspectives and possibilities in fields such as nonlinear optics and optoelectronics. This talk will focus on ultrafast materials science in strongly correlated electron systems, where many-body effects and multi-degree-of-freedom effects (charge, orbital, and spin) are prominent, as well as the optical functionalities derived from them.
