An optical metamaterial is an artificial material composed of subwavelength structures. By utilizing optical metamaterials, devices capable of precisely controlling the phase and absorption of light can be realized. In this presentation, I will introduce a variety of optical metamaterial-based devices, including metalenses, metamaterial absorbers, and spectroscopic devices, together with the motivations and concepts that inspired their development.
