superconductivity
In La3Ni2O6, which possesses a tetragonal structure at ambient pressure, superconductivity has not been observed due to its weak interlayer coupling(t⊥). In this study, we focus on a hypothetical compound, La3Ni2O6H. By inserting hydrogen atoms between the Ni layers, we aim to stabilize the tetragonal structure and enhance t⊥ in this system, potentially leading to a high Tc . Based on first-principles calculations and the fluctuation-exchange (FLEX) approximation, it is suggested that a Tc comparable to that of La3Ni2O7 under high pressure can be expected.
