BaHfO3 (BHO) nanorods introduced into YBa2Cu3O7-x (YBCO) thin films act as artificial pinning centers and contribute to enhancing the critical current density (Jc). Although TEM and STEM are widely used to characterize nanorod structures, conventional observations are generally limited to local regions, making it difficult to evaluate the spatial heterogeneity of nanorod distributions. In this study, we developed a method of visualizing nanorod distributions over wide areas and investigated the effects of BHO content and deposition rate on nanorod morphology and distribution using TEM/STEM. YBCO films containing 3 or 7 vol.% BHO were fabricated by pulsed laser deposition at repetition rates of 5 and 10 Hz and examined using TEM/STEM. The observations revealed differences in nanorod structures and spatial heterogeneity depending on the fabrication conditions.
