In this study, the effects of aging of the MOD precursor solution on the properties of GdBCO thin films were investigated. As the solvent toluene evaporated over time, the viscosity of the solution increased, which was suggested to deteriorate the surface morphology and crystallinity of the films, leading to reduced reproducibility of the superconducting transition. These effects were evaluated through X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations, and superconducting transition measurements, thereby clarifying the influence of solution aging on the properties of GdBCO thin films.
