We propose a novel corner SQUID for the phase detection of unconventional superconductors. This device features a partially open SQUID loop composed of conventional Josephson junctions—which offer established controllability of the critical current—into which an unconventional superconductor is subsequently integrated. In this presentation, we report on the fabrication and evaluation of the modulation characteristics of a DC-SQUID, where an open loop of Nb electrodes is connected using a W-C film deposited via FIB-ID.
