A metal grating has orthogonal metallic walls and may concentrate infrared radiation near the plane-symmetrical position. This characteristic offers potential applications such as anti-freezing systems. In this study, an infrared heater and a metal grating were used. The globe temperature was measured around the position plane-symmetrical to the heat source. The temperature increase reached its maximum at the plane-symmetrical position, confirming a localized temperature-increase distribution.
