When we tried a relatively long duration of 5 minutes using the microplasma contactor method, we observed that the discharge gradually decayed over time. On the other hand, when we looked at the power consumption during that period, we didn’t see any systematic changes that correlated with the discharge decay. We'll also discuss the components of power consumption in this method of liquid processing, including the heat generated during the processing, the resulting evaporation of water, and the power needed for the discharge itself.
