To improve the efficiency of liquid treatment using atmospheric-pressure low-temperature plasma, the dependence of methylene blue (MB) decomposition on the voltage rise rate (dV/dt) was systematically investigated using a microplasma contactor. The energy efficiency decreased with increasing dV/dt, while the decomposition amount saturated above approximately 10 kV/µs. These results suggest insufficient utilization of reactive species. The effect of bubble-induced stirring on the dV/dt dependence of MB decomposition efficiency will also be discussed.
