After completing my PhD, I am currently working as an assistant professor at Tokyo University of Science, focusing on both education and research on electron transport in nanomaterials. In this presentation, I would like to look back at how I first became interested in physics, the doubts and struggles I experienced as an undergraduate, my experiences during my doctoral studies, and my current work in education. I hope my story will provide one example for students and early-career researchers as they think about their own futures and their relationship with their field.
