[SY3-01]Current status and progress of treatment of Dysphagia in Thailand

Assistant Professor Dr Paitoon Benjapornlert, MD, PhD, is a faculty member at theDepartment of Rehabilitation Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, MahidolUniversity, Thailand. He holds an MD (Hons) from Navamindradhiraj University and aboard certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from Khon Kaen University.He completed a Clinical Fellowship and PhD in Swallowing Rehabilitation at FujitaHealth University, Japan. Dr Benjapornlert currently serves as Scientific Directorof the Royal College of Physiatrists of Thailand (since 2023). He has led major regionalconferences including AOCNR 2023, ADS 2025, and will serve as Scientific Chair forARMA 2026. His research focuses on dysphagia, stroke rehabilitation, and ageing. Hehas published and supervised multiple projects on metabolic rehabilitation and swallowingdisorders. He has also lectured extensively on neurorehabilitation and swallowingacross national and international platforms.
