摂南大学理工学部都市環境工学科では，学生のエンジニアリングデザイン能力養成の一環として，少人数ゼミ形式の授業「基礎ゼミⅡ」において，2年生を対象とした「P-1グランプリ」というコンテスト形式の授業を展開しており，その授業の効果を紹介する．
