Himeji Castle has two “paths.”<br/>The first is the path leading from the castle gate to the main keep. Along this route lie the ingenious strategies and hidden secrets devised by the samurai who risked their lives to defend the castle.<br/>The second is the path that we must follow to preserve Himeji Castle—one of the world’s greatest cultural treasures—for future generations.<br/>In this lecture, I will reveal the hidden stories and unique value of Himeji Castle, including many fascinating facts that are little known even to local residents.
