Andrea M. Spiker, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon board certified and dual fellowship trained in orthopaedic sports medicine and hip preservation as well as subspecialty certified in sports medicine. She is the Dr. William G. Clancy Jr. Professor in Sports Medicine, Program Director of the UW Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship Program and Director of the UW Hip Preservation Program. She acts as the Associate Editor of Hip and Thigh for the American Journal of Sports Medicine. Dr. Spiker received her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She then completed two fellowships at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY – the first in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery and the second in Hip Preservation
