Bio of Nicolas PUJOL, Ass Prof
Nicolas Pujol is Senior Knee Orthopedic Surgeon at the Centre Hospitalier de Versailles in Le Chesnay, France. He is Associate Professor.
He is the Chairman of the department of Orthopaedics since 2015, succeeding to his mentor Dr Philippe Beaufils.
The Orthopedic department of the Centre Hospitalier de Versailles is ESSKA, SFA and ISAKOS approved teaching center.
Currently, he is focused on sports pathologies and knee arthroscopies concentrating mainly on the Anterior Cruciate ligament and on the meniscus (both repair and reconstruction), taking care of many professional athletes. The patella is one of his main domains of expertise. He also performed many complex knee reconstructions (multiligament injuries, cartilage repair, osteotomies around the knee) and knee replacements (primary total, uni and revisions). He is a robot user for total knee replacements.
Dr. Pujol was also member of the French Arthroscopic Society (SFA) Board as the General Secretary from 2017 to 2019 and as Scientific Secretary from 2015 to 2017.
He is a member of the ESSKA Arthroscopy Committee since 2014, and the past chairman of the U45 Committee of ESSKA. He is an active member of the KCL working group, the Revision ACL consensus group, Chairman of the Meniscus Consensus group of ESSKA.
He has written more than 100 papers in international journals and given numerous scientific lectures around the world. He wrote more than 40 chapters in referenced books, most of them being ESSKA books.
