新しい概念：ポジティヴヘルスとは何か？〜患者主導のがん診療への新しい道しるべ〜医療だけで人を幸せにしようとしない

2011年にオランダの家庭医マフトルド・ヒューバーが唱えた新しい健康の概念「ポジティヴヘルス」は、病気や障害があってもその人が主体的に人生を管理し、前向きに生きていく能力を指します。単に病気がない状態を健康とするのではなく、社会的、身体的、感情的な問題に直面した時に、それらに適応し、専門家ではなく本人主導で管理していくことを重視する概念であり、病気や障害があってもその人自身が幸福を感じ、充実した人生を送るための指針となるものです。これからの癌医療においても、非常に重要な概念であり、患者主体の医療の在り方の指針となるのではないでしょうか。このポジティヴヘルスとはどのようなものなのか、どのように取り入れればよいのか、オランダの終末期癌患者の実情を交えながら教えていただきます。
