痛みの緩和のその先へ ― スピリチュアルケアの構造から考える地域の役割 ―

日本の医療は、人の抱える病やつらさに、可能な限りの手立てを尽くそうとする姿勢を軸に発展してきた。一方で、生老病死という本来暮らしの中にある営みまでも、医療で抱え込む比重が大きくなってはいないだろうか。<br>暮らしに目を向ければ、そこには様々な支え合いの場がある。医療もそのコミュニティの一部であるはずが、どこか切り離され「つなぐ」ものとして認識されているようにも感じられる。関係性を捉えなおし、「医療の外にある営み」すなわちコミュニティの力を再認識することが、今後の地域緩和ケアの可能性を拓くかもしれない。<br>本セッションでは、「医療でなんとかしすぎる」現状を問い直してみる。実践者としての知見から、「医療ができること」「医療がすべきこと」とそれを取り巻く「コミュニティの力」に光をあて、地域文化や医療制度を横断的に見つめ直しながら、これからの緩和医療の方向性を探索する場としたい。
