重症心身障害児者の安楽を支える緩和ケアー心地よさを目指す看護実践ー

1970年代に国内で新生児医療が浸透し、その進歩により障害や医療的ケアとともに生きる子どもが増加している。あわせて、新生児医療の黎明期に救命された重症心身障害者が成人期に至り、加齢による身体機能低下や癌の発症などへの対応に苦慮する事例が増えている。このように重症心身障害児者（重症児者）への緩和ケアニーズは高まりつつあり、本学会でも症例報告などが増えているが、議論の場は未だ十分とは言えない。また、複数の疾患や障害とともに生きる重症児者の「生」を支えるプロセス自体、緩和ケアの概念が大きく関わるとも言える。本プログラムでは、重症児者の緩和ケアについて、本人と家族を支える視点や、言葉で訴えられない症状評価の難しさ、生きる権利の擁護と死を見据えた語りとの葛藤、高齢化する重症者の生活を支える福祉との連携など、多角的な視点からの体験の共有を通じて、現在地を確認するとともに、未来に向けた建設的な議論の場としたい。
