最善の利益について考える ― 共に歩む中で考える最善の利益 ―

緩和ケアの現場では本人を中心とした意思決定のプロセスが基本であり、適切な医学的事実にもとづく判断や、可能な限り本人の意思を確認する努力を惜しまないことが重要である。しかし、たとえば高度に進行した認知症と共に生きる人、可逆性の乏しい意識障害にある人、新生児や乳児など、意思決定（自己決定）のできない状態にある場合には「最善の利益」（best interest）を考え代理意思決定を行うプロセスが必要となる。本企画では、超高齢者と小児の緩和ケアに精通した2人の演者より「最善の利益」とは何か、それぞれの現場でどのようなケースに「最善の利益」を適用しているか、どのようなプロセスで話し合いが行われているかなどをご講演頂く予定である。<br>会員各位にとって、本人の大切にしたいものや、本人らしさ、どのような過ごし方を希望するかなどの、意味や価値観にふれる対話について学ぶ機会となれば幸いである。
