臨床場面における副作用の説明とモニタリングの意義

向精神薬を患者に使用する場合にはさまざまな副作用が出現しうる。このため，その向精神薬をはじめて処方する際には，副作用のリスクについて十分な説明が行われてしかるべきであるが，臨床現場ではひとりひとりの患者に費やすことのできる時間に限りがある上に，一口に副作用といっても頻度も，重症度もさまざまなので，全ての副作用のリスクを十分に説明することは現実的ではない。<br>そこで，日本精神神経学会の薬事委員会は学会員である医師を対象として，使用頻度が最も高い抗精神病薬の1つであるリスペリドン経口薬を統合失調症患者に初めて処方する際に副作用リスクをどの程度説明を行っているかに関するウェブ調査を行って，臨床実地における副作用のリスク・シェアリングの実情について事前に検討した上で，シンポジウムの席で聴衆を対象としたアンケートも別途実施して，今後の副作用のリスク・シェアリングのあるべき姿に関するエキスパート・コンセンサスを構築することを目指す。
