精神科医療者に求められる自殺予防教育とは－がん専門病院に勤務する精神科医の立場から－

世界の中でも特に自殺率の高い日本では、自殺対策基本法（2006年成立）、自殺総合対策大綱（2007年公表）に依拠して国全体で自殺対策施策が施行されてきた。基本法も大綱も原則、5年ごとに改正・改訂されており、直近では2025年6月に基本法が大幅に改正され、その中で初めて、「精神科医その他の医療従事者に対する自殺の防止等に関する研修の機会の確保」が明記された。<br>しかしながら、現在の日本では、医師、看護師をはじめとして、ほとんどの医療者は卒前に適切な自殺予防教育を受ける機会がなく、また、卒後であっても、また精神科医療者であったとしても、自殺リスクへの対応はおろか、自殺リスクそのものも含めて自殺に関する基礎的な知識を獲得する機会すら確保することが困難であると考えられる。そのようなことから、法で書かれた「自殺の防止等に関する研修の機会の確保」は雲をつかむような話といってもよい状況である。<br>著者は、2万人からの精神科医を擁する日本精神神経学会がイニシアティヴをとり、各種学会委員会や他の学術団体と協働して精神科医療者のための各種教育研修プログラムを策定していくことが望ましいと考えているが、本シンポジウムでは、精神科医療者に求められる自殺予防教育の内容、その方法論、そして教育／受講機会の確保が如何にあるべきかということを丁寧に提示し、議論する場としたい。
