Coevolution of life and Earth from the perspective of the cyanobacterial circadian clock mechanism

Sponsored by Retrorative Cellular Functional Science: Reconstruction of Photosynthetic Antenna Complexes Since its emergence about four billion years ago, life has evolved in tandem with Earth surface environment. A major turning point was the appearance of photosynthetic organisms, paving the way for eukaryotes and multicellular life. Understanding this evolutionary history on Earth provides crucial insights that can expand the possibilities of searching for life elsewhere in the universe. In this symposium, we invite researchers from the fields of evolutionary biology, Earth and planetary sciences, and astrophysics to share the latest findings on the co-evolution of Earth and life and search for life in the Universe.
