In the fields of oligonucleotide therapeutics, gene therapy, vaccine development, and protein function analysis, there is still a major challenge: delivering target molecules into specific cells or tissues in vivo efficiently and minimally invasively. Standard needle syringe methods often place a burden on animals, show low reproducibility, and make precise delivery to target tissues difficult.
To address these issues, Daicel developed a research device called “Actranza® Lab.”, which applies the pyro-drive jet injector as a needleless technology. This device enables the accurate delivery of various molecules—such as DNA, mRNA, proteins, and peptides—through intradermal, subcutaneous, or intramuscular injection. It provides researchers with a new option for simple and minimally invasive administration that does not require adjuvants or LNPs.
In this seminar, we will introduce methods for gene delivery using “Actranza® Lab.” and share application examples in cancer and immunology research.
