Conventional CCS is potentially for capturing CO2 from large stationary point sources such as power plants, while such sources are responsible for only for 20-40% of global emissions. To overcome this limitation, it is suggested to capture CO2 directly from the atmosphere through the so-called "CO2 air capture" methods. This paper undertakes investigations to track the main features, technical progresses, and potential benefits of air capture over conventional methods.
