Physical separation techniques used in mineral processing are simple, robust and cost-effective processes, which make them ideal for the recovery of valuable materials from untapped resources like “urban” mines. In this study, we introduced several applications of physical separation techniques in the recycling of e-wastes, mobile phones and home appliances. This paper also describes the application of mineral processing technology to environmental protection and remediation.
