The improvement of the yields of the silicon production could be the serious problem in the world because of the huge spread of solar cells. The direct reduction process, which has the only simple reduction process, is suitable for more production process of silicon, because the reduction process is one of processes with the most energy consumption in general. Here, we discuss the relationship of the graphite crucible size and the yielding of SOG-Si, and their fact on the distribution of Si and SiC in the final products.
