Human Resources Exchange Seminar is intended to develop human resources to increase awareness, and to understand and have knowledge of trends and issues related to global energy flow, and minerals and other resources. Problems and issues on sustainable resources development and management, and environmental protection are discussed by student groups. The discussion topic of this year is as follows: (a) Enhanced Oil Recovery challenges and future in a developed and a developing country, (b) Discuss future technologies that would promote geothermal development, (c) Discuss the safety and environmental impact of carbon capture storage, (d) Potential and future of off-Earth mining. We also visited the factory of MITSUBISHI STEEL MFG. CO., LTD., and studied the steel making processes. This presentation provides the introduction of these activities.
