Waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs) contain valuable materials such as Copper, Tin, and precious metals. In Japan, WPCBs are mainly treated by smelting process with copper concentrate, and Copper and precious metals are recovered. In the copper smelting process, Tin is distributed to the slag phase because it is easily oxidized than copper, i.e. recovery of Sn is low. In this study, we aim to develop new recycling technology which combines physical and chemical separation for selectively recovery and refinery of Sn from crashed WPCB. In this paper, we investigated the possibility of using wilfley table to concentrate metals and obtain Tin from crushed WPCB using physical separation process.
