The MgMn2O4 oxides are of significant importance for Mg-ion battery owing to its superior specific capacity (272 mA h g−1) and high energy density (1000 Wh kg−1). Thus, synthesis of the MgMn2O4 oxides are particularly important for study their charge−discharge behavior in Mg-ion batteries. In this work, we report the synthesis of MgMn2O4 by supercritical fluid processing. Furthermore, the spinel MgMn2O4 was test as cathode for Mg-ion battery in coin-cell type.
