微生物（パン酵母の野生株）が酸性溶液中のタングステン酸イオンに対する有効な吸着剤となることを見出すとともに、タングステン酸イオンのバイオ分離・回収挙動に及ぼす各種操作因子（溶液pH、 細胞濃度など）の影響について分配平衡理論に基づいて考察した。
