Particles contained in electronic wastes have a wide variety of shapes. In this study, the effects of geometrical properties of particles (i.e., size and shape) in jig separation were investigated. The results showed that for disk-like materials, the separation efficiency was not affected only by the concentration criterion (CC) but also by flatness ratio (shape factor of particle). It was also found that bent rod-like materials (metal wires) were entangled, causing the low separation efficiency.
