To improve the flotation rate of finely ground chalcopyrite, oil agglomeration prior to flotation is effective. In this study, effects of agitation strengths during agglomeration on the floatability of finely ground chalcopyrite were investigated. The results showed that agglomeration with stronger agitation strength stabilized oil-water suspension, causing higher flotation rate.
