Polymers have chemical diversity and physical stability, and a large number of functional groups can be used as adsorption sites for metal adsorption. In recent years, conductive polymer polyaniline and its derivatives have been studied more in metal adsorption, while poly-N-phenylglycine, also a conductive polymer, has been less studied. In our research, the interaction mechanism between the PNPG film formed by vacuum filtration and Ag ions was studied. The pH influence experiment, adsorption kinetics, and isotherm study were carried out, and we attempted to recover silver from the leaching solutions of e-waste and municipal solid waste incineration fly ashes respectively.
