In this study, three (octylthio)aniline collectors and PAX (Potassium Amyl-Xanthate) were adopted in the copper sulfide ore flotation experiments to investigate the floatbilities and flotation performance with various conditions such as collector dosage and pulp pH. The results showed that (octylthio)aniline collectors especailly 2-(octylthio)aniline collector (ortho-type) could yield higher copper recovery and copper grade than PAX. The flotation kinetics test also determined that the 2-(octylthio)aniline collector (ortho-type) reacted faster than PAX during the entire flotation process.
