Nobuyuki Eura, Kazuma Sugie (Department of Neurology, Nara Medical University, Japan)

Nobuyuki Eura is a clinical neurologist and myologist in the Department of Neurology at Nara Medical University. He graduated from Nara Medical University School of Medicine in 2008 and completed his neurology residency at Nara Medical University Hospital. Following his residency, he pursued studies in muscle pathology and neuroembryology, earning a Ph.D. in 2020 with groundbreaking work on a novel method for generating brainstem organoids. From April 2021 to March 2023, he undertook a postdoctoral fellowship in Dr. Ichizo Nishino’s lab at the National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry, focusing on the diagnosis and molecular pathomechanisms of oculopharyngodistal myopathy. He is currently engaged in clinical myology, with a focus on muscle pathology and genetics.
