Initiated in FY2000, the U.S.-Japan Brain Research Cooperative Program (BRCP) promotes cooperation and exchange in brain science between the two nations. It operates under the framework of the U.S.-Japan Agreement on Cooperation in Science and Technology. Aimed at a wide range of researchers from basic to clinical research, the program has continued to provide (1) dispatch of joint researchers, especially for young researchers, (2) group joint research among prominent research groups, (3) information exchange seminars to develop new research areas, and (4) support for graduate students. This time, two researchers who achieved excellent cutting-edge research outcomes will talk about their experiences.
