Advanced approaches for measuring the activity of neurons and neural circuits have been developed with rapid advances in imaging technology in this two decades. On the other hand, neuronal activity is driven by neuronal electrical activities. Thus, to understand the brain activity, electrophysiological approach is inevitable. In this seminar, we will introduce and provide the discussion on electrophysiological techniques and the latest imaging techniques, holographic microscope, for further understanding brain function.
