This paper proposes a WDM and TDMA hybrid coexistence scheme using optical amplification to enhance spectral efficiency and capacity. It enables multi-generation PON upgrades, particularly addressing challenges in 50G-PON coexistence with IGE-PON and 10GE-PON.
