[TuF3-5]High-Q Single-Layer Dimerized Nanometallic Grating for Free-Space Optical Modulator

High-speed free-space modulator with Q-tuned single-layer dimerized nanometallic grating using organic electro-optic material is demonstrated. Stable resonance across 100-nm wavelength range and efficient intensity modulation with a record-high Q factor of 470 are achieved experimentally.
