Keywords:

Tapered and grating waveguides for optical coupling,Spatial division multiplexing (SDM) waveguide devices,Packaging technology of photonic devices

The design, optimization and implementation of a 3D-printed interposing taper waveguide for efficiently and mode-preservedly coupling to/from thick silicon four-mode, dual-polarization waveguide and rectangular-core optical fiber is reported, having low losses and excellent selectivity.
