Keywords:

Emerging materials and fabrication method for passive photonic platforms

We explore multiphoton polymerization as direct laser writing process for optical waveguides in all-fiber regime employing telecomm-wavelength lasers. Up-conversion nanoparticles are incorporated for both cascaded up-conversion process and nonlinear laser mode-locking, resulting in 746-fs pulses.
