To maximize spectrum utilization of fiber space division multiplexing (FSDM) networks, we develop an auxiliary graph (AG)-based traffic grooming algorithm for IP-over-FSDM networks, allowing traffic flows to share common spatial super-channels (Spa SChs). Results show that the scheme can improve spectrum and transponder utilization efficiently.
