[TuP-B-18] ISI-Mitigation-Based Carrier Phase Estimation for Coherent Multi-Symbol Modulated Systems

An inter-symbol interference-mitigation-based carrier phase estimation (ISIM-CPE) algorithm is proposed for optical multi-symbol modulated systems. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed ISIM-CPE algorithm improves receiver sensitivity by 1 dB at the 7% FEC threshold.
