We demonstrate correlative conjugated intradyne detection for laser-phase-noise-free coherent transmission. Optical carrier phase is recovered from spectral correlation between phase-conjugated twin signals. Experimentally demonstrated is 16-Gb/s QPSK transmission using low-cost broad-linewidth distributed-feedback laser diodes.
