We experimentally demonstrate a DSP-assisted analog-circuit FIR equalizer. Updates of tap coefficients in the digital domain accelerate adaptation speed. By using parallel-extended 18-tap, 18-ps-tap-delay analog-circuit FIR filter, 11.1-Gbaud NRZ signals are equalized and real-time monitored.
