A dual-mode-division (de)multiplexer is designed and demonstrated, for the first time, on a silicon nitride foundry platform. The device shows a low excess loss of at most 1.5 dB and low crosstalk of at most -31.0 dB over a 150-nm optical bandwidth, and maintains good performance with <2.2 dB loss and < -22.6 dB crosstalk for an 80-nm width variation.
